Mike Dillard is a pioneer in the field of promoting network marketing online. His most famous course is a book called Magnetic Sponsoring. The premise behind Magnetic Sponsoring is that people follow YOU as opposed to your company. Therefore, you should promote YOURSELF first in everything that you do.

He has some very valid points. A lot of what he says has however been taken way out of context. Mike is a genius at using the intetnet to generate leads and showing others how to do the same. However, a lot of marketers think that this means they no longer have to use the phone to market. This is completely false! In later interviews, Mike does correct himeself and says that the phone is and should be a useful tool in network marketing. Unfortunately, too many people want the easy way out and won’t follow his advice.

Mike also promotes a new strategy called GPT or Get Paid Today. It basically says that traditional MLM is dead and you should instead do the Aussie 2 Ups. He fails to mention that the Aussie 2 Up type companies are very expensive, have caused more lawsuits than anyone and are constantly under FTC investigation. So, why would you want to join a company like that?? Look, if you don’t like MLM, that’s fine. Go do affiliate marketing instead.

Still, overall Mike gives some great advice and Magnetic Sponsoring should be in the toolchest of any serious network marketer.

Todd Falcone is a network marketeting trainer that specializes in teaching people how to cold call professionals to recruit them into a network marketing.

Todd offers a free conference call and free You Tube videos. His conference calls are great. I especially love the live dials that he does. His calls may be a little TOO good. When I bought his insider secrets course, it basically said the things that were on the calls. For “finding” realtors, he said profound things like, “look them up on Google” No kidding! I ended up selling my course on Ebay and got most of my money back.

However, I found his Black Book of Scripts to be a very underrated product in Todd’s catalog.

Ted Thomas does infomercials about tax deed/tax lien investing among other things. I bought one of his courses several years ago.

When, I first got it my first thought was, “this is it?”. It had a lot of very generic information about tax liens. I mean VERY. No real meat to go with. I’ve heard that his seminars are pretty much a sham as well.

There is money to be made in tax liens, as I later did find out. Ted is just not the source to get it from.

I’ve looked on various forums and many, many, many people have said the same thing about ol Ted.

Wendy teaches about lease option buying.  She promotes something called “sandwich leasing”. A sandwich lease is where she gets one lease option from the seller and then does another lease option with the buyer. It’s an interesting concept. I bought her course, but never did complete a deal. Honestly, I it’s probably my fault as I didn’t apply myself enough to the process.

Wendy is a sweet lady and does like to help her students. One time, I sent her brownies for Christmas and she did call me personally to thank me. I was shocked when she did that. It meant a lot to me.

One thing that I didn’t like from Wendy was her affiliation with a Florida condo buying group trip dureing the height of the real estate bubble. I was very skeptical about the whole promotion and sure enough those people lost a lot of money on the deal.

Dani Johnson a very popular network marketing trainer. She is famous for going from a broke cocktail waitress to multi millionaire.

Her story is quite inspiring. She’s quite direct and motivational at her trainings. But us she worth it? Well, it depends.

I first started listening to Dani in early 2008. I went to 3 First Steps and one Dynasty. The first thing you should know is she is a very conservative Christian and not afraid to show it. If her brand of Christianity offends you, it’s definitely not something you want to attend. I’ve been to events where she’s done exorcisms. I’ve seen a lot of people get “saved” and seen some pretty crazy things at her events.  Her husband, Hans has some pretty radical ideas as well. For example, he has promoted websites that say 9-11 was a conspiracy. Stuff like that. A little paranoid sometimes, but he did open my eyes to a lot of things.

I do like a lot of the things she talks about, especially about debt. It’s something that will benefit a lot of people.

As for her MLM teachings, they are solid and helpful.  Dani does have a free portion on her website at DaniJohnson.com and if you are curious about her, that’s the best place to start.
