MLM Lead System Pro (also known as My Lead System Pro), Leaders Club, Mentoring For Free, 7 Figure Networker and others are “attraction marketing systems”. I’ve been a member of several of these attraction marketing systems so you could use this review for any of them.

Members of MLSP and similar systems get a website that offers a free report, usually related to the topic of “your upline leader is lying to you” , “only suckers buy leads”, “warm market is a waste of time” etc. Then, the prospect will sign up for the report and the website owner will have a “lead” that they can work to convert to their system.

Then, if converted, the prospect will pay a monthly fee to be a member of the attraction marketing system and then can bring other people into the system and in turn does it all over again. Some might even call this type of arrangement a pyramid scheme.

But do these systems work for the average person? In my opinion, for most people they are just a big distraction. This is because most people who buy into these things do so with the hope that they will “automate” the process of building a team. Network marketing, for the average person is not something that’s designed to be automated.

Additionally, you will be spending so much time learning internet marketing skills (which is another skill set in iteself) that you won’t have time to actually do the things that make you money (picking up the phone and prospecting). In addition to this, when you listen to the people in these systems, you will begin to have doubts about your upline which in turn will lead to doubts about your company and its systems. It becomes a never ending cycle of doubts which will make selling your product and your opportunity even harder.

Network marketing is meant to be simple. Simple also means duplicatable. In essence, whatever you do needs to be repeated easily by the next person on your team in the same way you do it.

Internet marketing on the other hand is meant to be unique. If everyone does it the same way, then you lose your unique selling proposition. These systems claim that “average people can become the guru”. The problem is most average people simply don’t have the skills to be the guru.

Instead of wasting your time, your efforts and your energy on these systems, take some time to learn basic time tested warm market marketing skills from your upline and you will do a lot better in your network marketing business.

MLSP does offer some decent internet marketing training for people new to online marketing. It can be a pretty good deal to join MLSP just to take a few training classes and then drop it before the next bill comes in. If you want to build your network marketing business online, the best way to do it right is to build your own blog and your own email list outside of these systems. You will do a lot better. That’s only IF you have the skill set and motivation to do it.

PowerSignups has an offer where they “guarantee” you a certain number of signups for a set price. Too good to be true? In my case, yes!

They claim that you would get your sign ups quickly. I found that it never happened. Worse yet, the signups turned out to be non responsive. So non responsive in fact, that I personally believe that they were fraudulent.

After a while I decided to do some research on PowerSignups.com. On my credit card, I found out that they are actually owned by a company in Texas called Egreat. A search on Egreat uncovered that they actually own several websites in the “guaranteed signups” niche. One such company is mlmleadreviews.net, which of course gives PowerSignups.com its highest rating. The #2 company on the MLMleadReviews site is USA MLM Leads, also owned by Egreat. Hmmm….interesting coincidence that the same company that owns the review site also gave the highest ratings to its own companies! Ain’t that a coinky dink!

When I posted my original negative review of this company on my Network Marketing Tips blog, I got a nastygram from someone claiming to be an attorney for PowerSignups.com. They then decided to file a phony Rip Off Report on me, trying to accuse me of assaulting women and other criminal activities. They also threatened to sue me if I didn’t remove the blog post. The person who sent the email “Tim” claimed to be an attorney, when in fact, he isn’t. I believe you would call that fraud.

PowerSignups.com’s shannanigans have gotten to the point where I am in process of looking for an attorney for legal action and possible class action. If you have also been defrauded by the dealings of PowerSignups.com, feel free to contact me at cscarpero[at]gmail.com

Mike Dillard is a pioneer in the field of promoting network marketing online. His most famous course is a book called Magnetic Sponsoring. The premise behind Magnetic Sponsoring is that people follow YOU as opposed to your company. Therefore, you should promote YOURSELF first in everything that you do.

He has some very valid points. A lot of what he says has however been taken way out of context. Mike is a genius at using the internet to generate leads and showing others how to do the same. However, a lot of marketers think that this means they no longer have to use the phone to market. This is completely false! In later interviews, Mike does correct himself and says that the phone is and should be a useful tool in network marketing. Unfortunately, too many people want the easy way out and won’t follow his advice.

Mike also promotes a new strategy called GPT or Get Paid Today. It basically says that traditional MLM is dead and you should instead do the Aussie 2 Ups. He fails to mention that the Aussie 2 Up type companies are very expensive, have caused more lawsuits than anyone and are constantly under FTC investigation. So, why would you want to join a company like that?? Look, if you don’t like MLM, that’s fine. Go do affiliate marketing instead.

Still, overall Mike gives some great advice and Magnetic Sponsoring should be in the toolchest of any serious network marketer.

Todd offers a free conference call and free You Tube videos. His conference calls are great. His You Tube videos are hilarious! I especially love the live dials that he does. His calls may be a little TOO good. When I bought his insider secrets course, it basically said the same things that were on the calls. For “finding” realtors, he said profound things like, “look them up on Google” No kidding! I ended up selling my “Insider Secrets To Calling Professionals” course on Ebay and got most of my money back.

However, I found his Black Book of Scripts to be a very underrated product in Todd’s catalog. Worth every penny and then some. It would cost you hundreds of dollars to get these scripts from other trainers.

Her story is quite inspiring. She’s quite direct and motivational at her trainings. But us she worth it? Well, it depends.

I first started listening to Dani in early 2008. I went to 3 First Steps and one Dynasty. The first thing you should know is she is a very conservative Christian and not afraid to show it. If her brand of Christianity offends you, it’s definitely not something you want to attend. I’ve been to events where she’s done exorcisms. I’ve seen a lot of people get “saved” and seen some pretty crazy things at her events. Her husband, Hans has some pretty radical ideas as well. For example, he has promoted websites that say 9-11 was a conspiracy. Stuff like that. A little paranoid sometimes, but he did open my eyes to a lot of things.

I do like a lot of the things she talks about, especially about debt. It’s something that will benefit a lot of people.

As for her MLM teachings, they are solid and helpful. Dani does have a free portion on her website at DaniJohnson.com and if you are curious about her, that’s the best place to start.
